I’m living a clumsy life.
Bumping along the ground. Looking to the sky. I know no other way to describe it.
The Recent History of Me
My twenties were filled with learning, travel, joy, trial and error, and oh, chocolate and coffee. I switched directions so often it would make your head spin, but in the end, it was all good. I learned who I was, how I was wired, how I was NOT wired, and saw the beginnings of the vision of who I was becoming.
My thirties are looking quite different. I’m moving with confidence into my life and have come far enough to see recurring themes in my heart. This effort, here with you, is birthed from those themes.
That’s who I am. That’s where I’m heading.
Oh… You wanted to know my roles?
Those are less important, but sure, ok.
I’m a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt. I have a ton of sisters, a couple of brother-in-laws and a bunch of cute little nephews. I’m also a friend, learning about intentional friendship with fresh eyes.
I own a web design business, work for myself and wouldn’t have it any other way.
We live in sunny Florida, (Jacksonville, to be precise), where the beach is our joy, though to be honest, not our daily reality. And we have two darling little birdies to cherish.
This blog has been simmering in me for several years.
Under an Open Sky is where I invite you to explore living in the abiding presence.
I believe the presence of God can be known, and should be known in the in and out moments of our days.
I believe we are capable of much deeper living than we currently experience.
Here you might find observations and commentary, perhaps some inspiration or lessons learned.
I invite you to journey with me and learn to live this deep life, under an clear and open sky.
